When looking for a new home and a mortgage, it’s important to know where your credit score stands. A new study from Lending Tree shows just how much money can be saved for those with a very good credit score versus a fair credit score.
So, a very good credit score is in the range of 740 to 799. Fair credit ratings are within the score range of 580 to 669. For mortgage loans, Lending Tree reports those with a good credit score paying more than $40,000 less in interest over the life of the loan than a person with a fair credit score.
